Call (346) 680-8916
One free number for tree work anywhere in greater Houston, answered around the clock.
An automated assistant asks what kind of tree work you need, takes your name, a callback number, your city or ZIP and what the tree is doing, then transfers you to an independent, locally owned tree service company that serves your area. If that company cannot pick up, it gets your details to call you back.

What to say when the assistant answers
Short and specific works best. The company hears a summary of what you say before it picks up.
The job
- What you need: removal, trimming, stump grinding, storm cleanup, lot clearing, hauling
- The kind of tree, if you know it, and roughly how tall
- Whether it is leaning, split, dead or already down
The place
- Your city or ZIP code
- Front yard, back yard or by the street
- What it touches or could hit: roof, car, fence, pool, a neighbor's yard, a line
Example: "A big water oak in my back yard in Pearland split in the storm. Half of it is on the fence and the rest is leaning toward the house. A truck can get to it through the side gate."
In an emergency, call these first
The line answers at any hour, but it is not an emergency service. If a tree has come down in a way that puts someone at risk, start here.
- 911 if anyone is hurt or trapped, or a power line is down in the street or on the house.
- CenterPoint Energy, 713-207-2222 to report a downed power line or an outage. CenterPoint asks people to stay at least 35 feet away from downed lines.
- Houston 311 for a fallen or hazardous tree on a City of Houston street right of way.
- Your insurer once everyone is safe. Photograph the damage before anything is moved.

When the danger has passed and the tree needs to be cut up and moved, call the line and you will be put through to a local company. The emergency and storm tree removal page explains what that work involves.
Check the company yourself. Texas has no state license for tree trimming or tree removal, so a business card proves very little. Ask the company for a certificate of general liability insurance sent by its insurance agent, proof of workers' compensation coverage, and the ISA certification number of its arborist. A company that sprays or injects trees for hire needs a pesticide license from the Texas Department of Agriculture or its Structural Pest Control Service. You can confirm a certification with the ISA's credential lookup (opens in a new tab).
How this line works: Tree Service Houston TX is a free phone line, not a tree service company. It does not trim, remove, quote or schedule tree work and holds no license or arborist certification. Calls are transferred to independent, locally owned tree service companies in the Houston area. Those companies may pay Tree Service Houston TX a referral fee. You never pay the line. How it works.
