What the service is
Tree Service Houston TX is a free referral service. An automated assistant answers your call, collects a few details and transfers you to an independent, locally owned tree service company that works in your part of the Houston area. The line is not a tree service company. It does not trim, prune, remove, grind, haul or clear trees, does not employ crews or arborists, does not visit properties, and holds no license or arborist certification.
Calls and the automated assistant
When you call, you are speaking with an automated assistant, and the details you give are passed to the company your call is transferred to. See the Privacy Policy for how that information is handled.
Your agreement is with the company
Each company you are connected with is an independent business, not an employee, agent or partner of the line. That company inspects the tree, recommends the work, sets its price, gives any estimate, schedules and performs the work, obtains any permit it agrees to obtain, and is solely responsible for that work. Any contract, deposit, payment terms, cancellation terms or warranty is between you and that company. Ask for them in writing. The line is not a party to that agreement.
No warranty of any company or its work
The line does not inspect, supervise, approve or stand behind any company or its work, and makes no promise that a company will be available, will answer, will call back, or will do the work at any price or time. The line does not verify any company's insurance, certifications, permits or business registrations and makes no statement about them.
No charge to you, and referral fees
Calling and being connected are free. The companies the line connects callers with may pay the line a referral fee. The line does not add any fee to your bill and does not set or see the price a company quotes you.
Checking a company before you hire it
Texas has no state licensing board for arborists. Before hiring, ask the company for a certificate of general liability insurance sent by its insurance agent, proof of workers' compensation coverage, and the ISA certification number of its arborist, which you can check at the ISA credential lookup (certificates.directory.isa-arbor.com). Permit rules depend on where you live; confirm them with your city before work starts.
